Back in the days the street was famous for containing within it, apparently, several conflicting living realities such as prostitutes, single mothers, transsexuals, drug dealers and traditional families. The interesting thing about them is the way they gather and reflect sound. I did a sound-walk on a Sunday morning and I stopped for a while here.   immersed in sounds · Soundscape #12 2 p.m. Sărata-Talpa, Bacău, România I recorded this Soundscape in the village of my childhood, in the backyard of my grandparents house. My village has the tradition to celebrate the last day of the year with the "Goat dance" or "Caprița" as we know it. The Caprița dance is a pagan shamanistic Tradition in which men, girls and boys, dressed up, with drums and brass instruments wander through towns and villages playing their traditional music, as one or more of the men, dressed in a stylized goat costume, performs a sort of goat dance trying to channel the goat spirit through sinuous movements. The goat dance marks the winter solstice and is a symbol of good luck and prosperity in the year to come. What you hear is the fermentation of all of that.   immersed in sounds · Sounsdscape #11 3 p.m. Lake Barrea, National Park of Abruzzo, Italy At the time the region was living a fire emergency capable of threatening the forests, its wildlife and the villages nearby. Every 20 minutes the Canadair CL-415 aircraft was landing on the lake to refill its reservoirs with water to be used against the fire. Thanks to this peculiar situation the lake was continuously immersed in this low aircrafted rumble. Picture and Sound were taken on August 15 2021
