4:30 p.m. Lago Albano, Castel Gandolfo, Lazio

The contrast between the close-up sound of the water and the distant engine sound from cars and motorcycles makes me reflect on the perpetual tension between natural spaces and imperialistic industrialized ones.
It is a dialogue between the two, with laughs from the first and desperate moans from the second.

Picture and Soundscape were taken on 7th May 2020 during the second phase of the Covid19 pandemic lockdown. At that time people were starting to get outside their homes and to claim back the public spaces.

  immersed in sounds · Cali 30.12.2023 1 a.m. Sucre barrio, Cali, Colombia. Cali, the salsa capital of the world, becomes a total different city at night. It seems like everyone just woke up and started to dance, sing and have fun in general. In this recording you can hear different parties from different locations melting together with the city's sounds creating an unique soundscape.
